Having recently taught a children’s sermon about how “pastor” comes from the word for “shepherd,” L got it mixed up. She may have a naïve view of ministry, among sheep or people.

Mom: “L, what do you want to do when you grow up?”
L: “I want to take care of animals, and be a sheep pastor.”
Mom: “But sheep are smelly.”
L: “Sheepers are not smelly.”
Mom: “What if they lick your hand?”
L: “Ohhhhh, it’s okay; they don’t bite.”
